En el Magnificat en inglés, el alma de María entona un canto de gratitud y humildad, proclamando las maravillas del Señor. Un testimonio eterno de fe y alabanza que resuena a través de los tiempos.
Oración Magnificat en inglés
Proclaims my soul
the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God,
my Savior;
for He has looked upon the humiliation
of His servant.
Henceforth all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done
great things for me:
His name is holy,
and His mercy reaches to His faithful
from generation to generation.
He extends His arm with feats,
He casts down the mighty from their thrones,
He lifts up the humble with tenderness,
fills the hungry with good things,
and sends the rich away empty.
He helps His people Israel,
fulfilling the promise to our fathers,
to Abraham and his descendants,
forever.
Amen.

Magnificat en la King James Version
Esta es la traducción inglesa clásica del Magnificat (Lucas 1, 46-55), de la King James Version de 1611, de dominio público:
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
